Is it done?

How do you know when a painting is done? I don’t know, exactly.

I do know if I walk away, come back, and keep adding (paint, lines, watercolors) to it then it wasn’t complete. That happened here in the images below. The painted panel with the frame (left) was on its way to being nearly complete, although I wasn’t sure. After walking away and coming back a day later—I kept painting. There you go. This painting is still a work in progress. I’ll post it when it is done :)

Like anything in process, patience is important.
